Install
Install the signed and notarized release with Homebrew:
brew install --cask labstack/tap/drigaHomebrew keeps the background-only Driga.app in Caskroom and links driga
to the CLI inside it. The app has no Dock icon; it gives the collector its name
and icon in System Settings and is required for
desktop notifications.
Upgrading from a bare-binary release: if you use the collector, run
driga service install once to repair the service path. After that,
brew upgrade keeps the path stable; run driga service restart to pick up
the new version. driga doctor warns about a stale service path.
Debian .deb and RPM .rpm packages, plus tar.gz archives for amd64 and
arm64, are on GitHub Releases.
Verify each download against driga_<version>_checksums.txt before
installing.
The collector runs as a systemd user service. On a VM or server, allow it to run after logout:
loginctl enable-linger "$USER"Without systemd, run driga collect under tmux or nohup instead.
Windows support is experimental. Install with Scoop:
scoop bucket add labstack https://github.com/labstack/scoop-bucketscoop install labstack/drigaArchives containing driga.exe are also on
GitHub Releases. Keep
driga.exe at a stable path without shell metacharacters before installing
hooks or the service.
Use the Go version in go.mod or newer:
CGO_ENABLED=0 go build ./cmd/driga./driga versiongo install ...@<tag> does not work: CalVer tags use the year as their major
version, which Go module rules reject for this module path. Use a package, an
archive or a checkout.
Before hooks or the service
Section titled “Before hooks or the service”Keep Git on PATH and the installed binary at a stable absolute path. Hooks
and the collector service record that path; moving the binary afterwards breaks
them until you reinstall them.
